What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a commission-based referral model widely used in iGaming and other industries. When a Pulsebetty reader clicks an outbound link to a sportsbook (a link starting with /go/ on our domain or going directly to a partner), a referral parameter is attached to the click. If the reader then registers and meets certain criteria (e.g., makes a qualifying deposit), the sportsbook pays Pulsebetty a commission.
Commission models
Different sportsbook partners use different commission structures:
- CPA (Cost Per Acquisition): a flat fee for each qualifying new player
- Revenue share: a percentage of the operator's net gaming revenue from referred players
- Hybrid: a combination of CPA and revenue share
- Flat fee: fixed monthly payments for placement, used in limited cases
Commission rates vary by partner and market and can change over time. Specific rates are confidential between Pulsebetty and each partner.
Editorial independence
Our affiliate relationships are structurally separate from our editorial decisions:

- Sportsbook partners cannot pay for higher ratings, prime placement, or favorable copy.
- Editors do not see commission rates when writing reviews.
- Sportsbooks we do not have affiliate relationships with can still be reviewed if they are relevant to our audience.
